Coby Kennedy once said that he was born in America but has always been a “Citizen of the World”. This International inclination has led to countless projects and collaborations, in multiple continents, that span all aspects of art and design. From Fine Arts to Automotive Design, Kennedy has created works that transcend genres.
He has spent the better part of the last decade traveling the world, creating large scale installations and murals, designing and producing works for some of the most recognized corporations in their respective fields. While living between Japan and Europe, Kennedy has designed concept automobiles for companies such as Honda, Alfa Romeo and Citroen. His Product Designs have been mass produced by major Japanese game companies and have become top sellers, while his Clothing designs have been realized on the highly competitive Japanese Street-Fashion market. He continues to exhibit works visually realized in the form of large scale oil paintings that explore the daily issues of social class and power structure as it exists today and will exist tomorrow. His work has been reviewed in the New York Times and has been exhibited at Rush Arts Gallery, Skylight Gallery, MCLA Gallery51. He has been a participant at Skowhegan Artists Residency and has been a sponsored artist with Washington DC’s Words Beats and Life.
